Bower Healthcare’s community division provides Personal Care Assistants and Domestic Support Workers to people who are frail, aged, or living with a disability within the home and community environment.
Under the person-centred care approach we see the role of our community care workers as that of enablers, providing care that encompasses the whole person and their social, cultural and individuality – not just physical care alone. Our members must be prepared to support each individual client and assist them to maximise their independence, enabling them to do things for themselves and achieve their life goals.
