Not only must you possess the appropriate skills to be able to efficiently perform your duties, you must also possess the right values, personality and commitment to ensure the needs of our clients are consistently being met. Before we will accept anyone onto our books, all applicants must be able to demonstrate appropriate experience, skills and training.

Our minimum expectations are:

  • Certificate III (Aged Care, Home & Community Care or Disability)
  • Current Manual Handling & First Aid Certificates
  • 6 months recent practical experience in a relevant work environment (e.g. in-home care, nursing or group home or hospital)
  • Current work rights in Australia (we do not offer sponsorship)
  • 2 employment or study related references
  • Your own transport with current NSW driver licence and fully comprehensive insurance
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Compliance with the NSW Health vaccination and immunity requirements is advantageous

Before your employment with Bower Healthcare can be confirmed our Recruitment team will conduct a comprehensive assessment and evaluation of your skills and suitability. This process includes a one: one interview, National Criminal History Record Checking (NCHRC), a Working with Children Check (WWCC), reference checks and your participation in an induction/orientation program (including an on-line Work Health & Safety induction).

With your cooperation, this exercise can take up to a week to complete but once it is finalised you will be able to start work immediately.
