What the pay is like for nurses in Australia?

The pay for nurses in Australia is dependent on your personal year of service and recognised previous experience. Generally speaking, it is slightly higher than in the UK - but do take into consideration that it is fairly in line with the cost of living in Australia.

Where will I be sent to work?

As an agency nurse it’s in your interest to be flexible however, we tend to try and send you to the most convenient location in relation to where you are staying or where can accommodation your speciality experience.

Are there any shifts in my area of expertise?

The answer to this is that most hospitals will try and use your specialist expertise in the correct ward or unit - however it is advisable to have a flexible attitude. For example - if you are booked for ICU work and the patient numbers drop when you arrive you might be needed elsewhere to help out, rather than being sent home.
